1. How do I obtain competitive quotes?
You can do it one of three ways. (1) You can contact a specific provider based on your own criteria whether it is location, reviews, etc. (2) you can post the job publically, as if it were a billboard and interested Service Providers will review your requirments and contact you with questions or a quotes. (3) You can do a combination of the two. You can post the job publically, casting a wide net to attract as many providers as possible AND you can "invite" specific providers, again, based on your own unique criteria.
2. Do I have to choose a Service Provider who has responded or can I obtain quotes and go elsewhere, outside the site?
You are free to do what you want with the quote you receive, but bear in mind that just like our Service Providers receive ratings, customers are rated too, although not formally. Providers you seek quotes from will likely make a mental note of their dealings with a customer and factor in this information when that customer comes back for another quotes. We dout this will ever be a problem as we trust that all people who take part in the site will work with one another in good faith.
3. Is there any protection or recourse if a provider does an unsatisfactory job?
HeroToHire.com does not warrant or guarantee the work of the service provider members, however, we will work in the best interests of all parties when helping to resolve a dispute, if one should arise. We cannot emphasize enough that the responsibility of due diligence in reviewing a service provider rests with the customer, just as it does if you were using the phone book to look up a service provider.
4. How is this site different from other sites contractor directory sites?
We are different in a few ways.
First, our service provdiers are made up of Fire, Police, Military and Paramedic personnel.
Second, aside from simply giving you contact information for service providers you also have the ability to request quotes from these providers with just a few clicks of your mouse saving you time, energy and in many instances a great deal of money.
